Guided Fly Fishing

Maximum 2 anglers per guide (fishing licence is an additional fee – see Fish & Game New Zealand for more info)
$1050 per day. GST Inclusive
This price includes the fishing guide, access to all fishing equipment, a packed lunch and 4WD transport to the rivers.

Heli Fishing

The cost for this package is determined by the time taken in the helicopter to the remote site and the number of people on each flight.

Heli fishing is weather dependant so needs to be booked on arrival at the lodge.

Transfers

Road Transfers from the Nelson Airport to the lodge & return can be arranged upon request.
Helicopter transfers from the Nelson Airport to the onsite helipad takes approximately 15 minutes & can be arranged upon request.

STAY 5 NIGHTS, PAY FOR 4

Get one day free accommodation and meals if you book for 5 nights or more.
This package includes:

BEGINNERS LUCK

The beginners package offers free fly casting tuition at the Lodge and includes one day guided fly fishing.
Package includes:

• 3 nights accommodation at Stonefly Lodge
• Cooked Breakfast & a Four Course Gourmet Evening Meal
• Fly casting lessons
• 1 day guided fly fishing
• Use of all fly fishing equipment
• Fishing license

Cost: $4163 per person on a twin/double share basis
Valid dates: 1st October 2025 to 30th April 2026

Booking Conditions

A 50% deposit is required to confirm the booking. Full payment is required 30 days prior to arrival.
A 50% deposit is required to confirm sole use bookings. Full payment is required 60 days prior to arrival.

Cancellation Policy
Greater than 90 days of arrival - 1 night cancellation fee
Within 90 days of arrival -- 50% cancellation fee
Within 60 days of arrival -- 100% cancellation fee

“In the case of a cancellation due to a government authority banning travel or closing boarders due to the corona virus  we will accept moving the booking to a future date next season at next season’s applicable rates, instead of applying the standard cancellation fee.”

We highly recommend obtaining travel insurance to cover any cancellation fees

All 4 guest rooms are equipped with a super-king bed which can be split into two singles.
We generally do not cater for children under 16 yrs of age unless sole use of the lodge is required.
